Iron (III) Oxide
Iron (III) oxide is used in fireworks for priming compositions where high temperatures are required; there are also a few formulas with aluminium powder which create a crackling effect. Rust is particularly well know for it’s use in the thermite reaction, which can be used to weld steel.
