Cab-O-Sil is a fine powder of amorphous silicon dioxide (the main component of sand), which is typically around 600 mesh (16μ). It is used as an additive to make grinding, sieving and “free flowing” considerably easier, it can also be added to sulphur to reduce the static which can make sulphur difficult to handle.
