40mm diameter alumina (Al₂O₃) ceramic balls recommended for use in larger milling jars, 3 litres and up. They are very hard wearing and ideal for ball milling. Ceramic balls are inert, do not spark unless struck together with very large force and will not react with any standard chemicals used in pyrotechnics.
